This image and the following two images are some examples of the types of graphic stills I was producing on a daily basis at MGFX.

This back-to-school shopping animation was my first After Effects assignment at MGFX. Troubleshooting with masks to figure out how to make the chalk look as though it was writing on the board and utilizing typography and cameras within After Effects really helped me familiarize myself with the software.

These four animations are components of a graphics package I was assigned to put together for the anniversary of the tragic shooting at Virginia Tech. Using Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and After Effects, I designed an open animation, a stinger, a looping background, and a looping lower third; all 10-seconds long and all stylistically cohesive. This was my first project in Cinema 4D.

I decided to take a fun, lighthearted approach to this Thanksgiving animation. Using Cinema to make my 3D gourd bounce and interact with the typographical logo involved a lot of trial and error, but I achieved the effect I wanted in the end.

These are some of my early ideas for the main logo design. I decided to go with the top right composition because I found it to be the boldest and most eye-catching.

One of my favorite parts of this project was creating these gourds for the pattern in the background; they were so fun to illustrate and watching them come to life in After Effects was really satisfying.
